Sabattus
- The American Legion Post 135 of Sabattus will hold an
open house from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 29. State Commander Donald
Simoneau and State Service Officer Robert Owens, along with a representative
from the "Legion Riders," will be on hand to help answer questions from area
veterans and their families.
Refreshments
will be available. Pictured to the right, from the left are Second Vice
Commander Albert Harvey, Post Commander E. P. Nadeau and First Vice
Commander Ron Caron working on the final plans. Top left is a picture of the
meeting room. You will notice the 3rd District, Department of Maine American
Legion Flag as we were preparing for our November 2007, 3rd District
Meeting. Bottom left is the refreshment room with all of the flags
representing every branch of the Armed Forces draping the top section along
with pictures of past Commanders of the post. It's a very cozy post with
dart boards and a pool table. I have found the hospitality of this post to
be rated as a "Five Star Post".
